He kissed her. Without warning, without permission. Without even deciding to do it, but simply because he couldn’t have done anything else. He needed that breath she was holding. It belonged to him, and he wanted it back.

She sits, glaring out the window and begins making predator like noises when she spies birds in the bush outside my window… (Taken with instagram)
Despite the lateness of the hour and my comfort in my bed, I awoke moments ago to find the toilet. As I made my way back to my rooms, I found myself being startled by the remnants of an over sized, furry birthday balloon, which is now slightly shorter than myself. The smaller balloons have long since been equa deflated and assaulted by my cat since my sister brought them home just a short week ago. For a brief moment, my breath caught, my heart sped up and I scared the living night lights out of myself. There, in the darkness, out of my perherhial, for the briefest moment my mother stood there. While I am not one to believe, logically, in ghosties, is she here? If so, is she just hanging out, watching the sad parade of my life pass me by on these not so crowded streets? Is she laughing, crying, or just reminding me, on this weekend for moms, that despite her absence, she is still here? OR is this imagination of mine too vivid?? Oh, the possibilities…sometimes I wish she were still here, she would usually know just what to say.
